FARMERS - Persons who sell products they have actually grown themselves. This would include such items as fruits, vegetables, plants, cut flowers, honey, milk, meats, eggs. It may also include such items as jams, cider, salsa, vinegar's providing the essential ingredients of these items were grown and harvested directly by the vendor. NO Re-sellers or those who might work on, or manage a corporately owned farm and have permission to dispose of surplus product. Milk, Meat and Eggs have to possess and maintain all required Washington State Department of Agriculture license, and Spokane County Health Department permits.• SEAFOOD'S: In the case of seafood, the vendor must own, lease, or operate the fishing vessel or own, lease or rent the parcel of land where the seafood is caught or harvested for sale at Market. • ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES: Alcoholic beverages must be made entirely from ingredients grown in Washington, or from grapes grown in a recognized Washington appellation, except for certain additives required for processing which cannot be produced in the State of Washington, not amounting to more than 5% of the total volume of the beverage All Alcoholic Beverages must meets these Washington State requirements by the State Liquor Control Board.
PROCESSORS - Persons who sell food products that they have personally prepared but did NOT grow or raise the ingredients themselves. This would include such items as baked goods, jams, sauces, wines, beer, fish. Have to possess and maintain all required Washington State license, Spokane County Health Department permits. • SEAFOOD'S: In the case of seafood, the vendor must own, lease, or operate the fishing vessel or own, lease or rent the parcel of land where the seafood is caught or harvested for sale at Market. The vendor must be a legal resident of the State of Washington. • ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES: Alcoholic beverages must be made entirely from ingredients grown in Washington, or from grapes grown in a recognized Washington appellation, except for certain additives required for processing which cannot be produced in the State of Washington, not amounting to more than 5% of the total volume of the beverage . All Alcoholic Beverages must meets these Washington State requirements by the State Liquor Control Board.
PREPARED FOOD VENDORS - Concessionaires offering freshly made foods, available for sale and immediate consumption at the market. Have to possess and maintain all required Washington State license, Spokane County Health Department permits. All appropriate permits and licenses shall be filed with the management of the market.
ARTISAN CRAFTERS - Persons selling quality craft items they made themselves. A majority of the tools and equipment used by the crafter to produce their products must require skills, personal handling and/or guidance by the crafter. Soaps, lotions, and other similar body care items will be considered craft items. Crafters should incorporate materials produced in Washington as much as possible. Crafters must create their craft products in Washington, or in counties which border the State of Washington. Reselling a previously manufactured craft item will not be allowed. We will not accept applications from those who are distributors of overseas items, commercial resellers, or those who are considered home based businesses (for example: Mary Kay, Avon, Cookie Lee or Usborne Books, etc. ). We also will not allow sales of collections, or sales by groups (Girls scouts, Campfire etc.) or any product that makes claims to diagnose, prevent, treat, or cure a specific disease. All craft items are juried once a craft application is received.
COMMUNITY GROUPS - NON PROFIT GROUPS - Groups cannot engage in campaigning or selling. The Market is proud to be a resource to community based nonprofit and community groups. Space is held for groups in keeping with the nature of the Market- educational, local, and food type information. Each community group will be reviewed for appropriateness. Groups may provide information on the work they do and services they offer in the community, and may inform the community on how they can be involved or upcoming group events. Fundraisers must be submitted to board for approval. Groups will be allowed to have one 10’x10’ space at the Market on a space available basis. There is no charge, the community group is required to bring their own canopy, weights and table. Groups will need to be set up by 8:30am, and will not take down until 1:00PM. No vehicles in market area till 1:09pm. Many Groups will send volunteers to staff their booth on the days they are represented at the Market. The primary contact (person who fills out the application) will be responsible for letting all volunteers know the rules and guidelines of the Market. If volunteers come after 8:45am they will not be allowed to set up. If volunteers come unfamiliar with the Market rules and guidelines, the Market may cancel the remaining days your organization is scheduled to have a booth at the Liberty Lake Farmers Market.
MUSICIANS - The market strives to create an enjoyable environment, including “background” music for customers and vendors. Musicians are paid $100 per full market day (tip jars and CD sales are allowed and encouraged) Musicians must submit an application and have a web or youtube site.
